Hosting and speaking at today’s event ‘Celebrating the Launch of the first National Veterans Awards for Wales’, which was sponsored by Flintshire based Company TASC Holdings Ltd, North Wales Assembly Member Mark Isherwood commended the “huge number of highly successful Armed Forces Veterans” in Wales.

The Welsh Veterans Awards will be held on June 26th 2019 and will celebrate and reward Armed Forces Veterans  - or ex-Forces personnel -  that have made the transition from the Military to civilian life and gone above and beyond and excelled in their relevant fields.

Mr Isherwood told those at the Assembly launch that “they will act as role models for future service leavers.”

He said:

“The Awards Team wants to find the people who even during the most difficult periods have excelled In Business, Fitness, Sport and the wider Community.

“As such, the Awards Team feels they should be given every opportunity to highlight their achievements and success, which is why the awards have been created in support of ‘ABF The Soldiers’ Charity Wales’.

“So thank you for attending the Launch of these fantastic awards, where you can meet and talk to the Individuals, companies and organisations responsible for putting this together.

“It’s great to celebrate the success of our Veterans Community, and great that Wales should have a national awards for our Armed Forces Veterans and the companies that support them.”
