North Wales MS Mark Isherwood added a splash of pink to his usual attire last week to encourage constituents to support Breast Cancer Now’s Wear it Pink, which took place on Friday (18th October).
Mr Isherwood was joined by other members of the Senedd at an event in Cardiff to promote awareness of breast cancer and the Wear it Pink event, which each year raises vital funds for world-class breast cancer research and life-changing support.
He said:
“Every 10 minutes, someone in the UK hears the words “you have breast cancer”. It’s the most common cancer in the UK. Each year around 11,500 women and 85 men lose their lives to the disease.
“Wear it Pink is great way to come together with friends and family to have fun whilst raising money for Breast Cancer Now’s world-class research and life-changing support.
“I am proud to raise awareness of the impact of the disease and to support and advocate for Breast Cancer Now’s research.”
