North Wales Assembly Member Mark Isherwood commended the achievements of Wrexham’s Glyndwr University in the Senedd this week.

Speaking in this week’s Business Statement, Mr Isherwood referred to the appointment of the new Vice-Chancellor for the University and went on to praise the University for achieving above the UK average for full-time first degree leavers achieving graduate-level employment.

According to the latest Destination of Leavers Survey (DLHE) from the Higher Educations Statistics Agency (HESA), the institution achieved an employability figure of 92.1% and is also above the sector average for graduate level employment,

Speaking in the Chamber Mr Isherwood said: “I’m sure you will join me in congratulating Professor Maria Hinfelaar on being installed as the Vice-Chancellor of Wrexham Glyndŵr University last Thursday, and on their achieving above the UK average for full-time first degree leavers achieving graduate-level employment.”

As well as getting its graduates the best possible jobs, the institution also supports those who enter higher education from non-traditional backgrounds.
