Charities encouraged to apply for up to £40,000 award funding

Applications are now open for the 2018 GSK IMPACT Awards – a scheme which recognises and rewards UK charities that are helping to improve health and wellbeing in their communities,  

 

Run by healthcare company GSK in partnership with The King’s Fund, the Awards are a prestigious mark of achievement in the health charity sector and have been running for 20 years.

 

During this time, nearly £5.9 million has been given to over 420 community healthcare charities across the UK, with £227,000 of funding being awarded to Welsh organisations.

 

Charities that are at least three years old and have an annual income of between £80,000 and £2.5 million are encouraged to apply and be in with a chance of being named one of possibily ten annual winners recieving £30,000 in unrestrictive funding. An overall winner is awarded an additional £10,000 and up to ten runner-up organisations which each receive £3,000.

 

Mark Isherwood AM said ‘Good health and wellbeing is important to us all. Working alongside public bodies, third sector organisations across North Wales provide invaluable advice and support that many people rely on.

“The GSK IMPACT Awards is another great opportunity for these charities to be recognised for the great work they do.”
