North Wales Assembly Member Mark Isherwood is to face a night in the cells this weekend to help raise funds for a cancer charity.
Mr Isherwood is excited to be taking part in the Tenovus sponsored ‘Prison Lock Up’ in Mold Police Station to raise funds for cancer patients and their families on Saturday (9th March).
Prisoners will be fed prison microwaved food, be put through their paces through vigorous exercise in the yard and will be questioned by the team at the station for ‘made-up’ charges, although there may be some very small privileges for good behaviour.
Mr Isherwood said:
“I will have my finger prints and mug shots taken, be given prison clothing to wear and have all home comforts taken away, including my mobile phone!
“The lock up lasts from 5pm until midnight. However, I may be released early for hitting a fundraising target and good behaviour, and would therefore very much appreciate your support!
“Anyone wishing to donate to this worthy cause can do so on my Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/mark-isherwood3”
